Thanks to Gareth Tate and Adventure Technology who will
award a paddle of choice to the champion.
Let's meet our players in the competition. They are listed in order of
entry, and as I
comment on photos during the rounds it only seems appropriate to
comment
on profile images too; comments in italics. I would like to point
out that no profile images were requested but kayakers just love
sharing pictures of themselves. Really though, it was the standard for
the first two years so thank you guys for some fun profile shots.
My name is PJ Moran and probably gonna have to go with a Pink Panty Dropper for the drink question.
Chris Juvshik - Chris didn't
supply a bio or a profile image, so I got to pick what I liked from a
google image search in his name, and I get to choose a beverage for him
as well: Bacon Maple Ale.
Ben Hawthorne - "Im a fine
single malt scotch, a nice speyside. Rich caramelly and citrus notes
over a spicy finish, smooth and creamy. If you believe that, youll
believe anything."
Daniel Brasuell - Daniel didn't
get me a drink bio, and has been known to cry while watching chick
flicks; Daniel most closely identifies with the Pink Raspberry Cosmo.
Leif Anderson - Classified. No
answer forthcoming. That's right. Not even going to tell you. But what
I will tell you is this. The drink that I am is also the drink that I
drink, and that drink causes me to piss excellence. #pissexcellence
Sara James - I drink whatever is cheap. Trying to think of a
drink with vanilla or other spices. I'm half Zanzibari ( famous
as spice and slave island ) .... something mixed with flavours from
spice islands but in many ways thoroughly british. Gin and tonic is
nice and colonial.
Melissa Lesh - I most closely resemble a mojito because I am fresh like mint but come with a bite!
Tegan Owens - Wine, because I pretend to be classy and sophisticated but in reality I'm just adult grape juice.
Nick Gottleib - 40z Country Club Malt Liquor. -
No explanation needed.
David Spiegel - "Drink name? Tough question 'cause I don't drink many cocktails. How about: Captain Caffeine."
- Nice crocs.
Dave Prothero - Laphroaig, which is my favorite scotch. -
Laphroaig has been described as "Tastes Like a Burning Hospital". and Dave is looking like the man behind that. Love the shot.
John Webster - Radler: I look manly from afar but once you get a taste, you'll know I'm sweet girly man. -
Working hard or lurking hard? As a fellow Radler lover I enjoy this image too...
Harald Glanz - I’d be a booty beer, because I just love the feeling inside wet neoprene. -
Touché
Wes Heustess - A fine blend of passion fruit purée and habenero infused vodka. -
As Wes didn't include a profile image I put this together from google image searching the components of his drink.
Mike Curiak - Sarsaparilla: Effervescent. Sweet. Satisfying. Yet almost always overlooked. -
Almost always, but making a comeback.
Jim Janney - A bootie beer for my drink of choice (at least I know I went kayaking). -
Jim
must not go kayaking that often based on how many bootie beers he
drinks. Joking of course, as Jim kayaks more often and swims less than
I do.
Maxwell Posner - The drink that best describes me at
present is a session IPA. If I fulfilled my potential to be a real
hoppy beer, I would maybe be taken a bit more seriously. -
With the double PBR logos in the picture I hope he wins so he can afford a Session IPA hat.
